VSkin Extension - Privacy Policy

When you click Sync Inventory in the extension popup, the extension fetches your inventory from Steam and collects:

  • SteamID (to associate the scan with your VSkin account).
  • Inventory item metadata for CS2 items (e.g., item name, asset/class/instance identifiers, icon URL, tags/descriptions, and properties).
  • Scan metadata (e.g., a timestamp and/or a hash used to reduce unnecessary repeated syncs).

We do not collect sensitive information such as passwords, payment details, private messages, or your Steam authentication cookies.

The extension performs a scan only after you click Sync Inventory in the extension popup. It does not scan in the background. The extension also applies a short cooldown to prevent repeated scans in a short period.

VSkin uses inventory item metadata to sync and display your items on the VSkin platform and provide inventory tracking features. Some inventory details (such as trade lock status) may not be available through standard public interfaces, so the extension fetches your inventory directly from Steam to retrieve these details.

Your inventory data is sent from the extension to VSkin backend servers to operate the service. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

We retain data while your account is active to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time.

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to stored data is restricted to authorized systems and personnel needed to operate VSkin.
